The film truly reflect Chinese national identity by lively character portray, on the film, we can recognize Cui qiao‘s father, who represents most of Chinese old peasant, he has many influences by the traditional culture, those influences control all his life, he works very hard but still very poor, he is very simple but very insensitive, he is honest, but also very primitive, those double characters make his life extremely hard.
