And now they don't know what to do with Mary, Mary, Mary (anonymous Internet author)." What is cloning? Cloning is the making of an identical species from another of the same species' DNA. Cloning is also something much more. Cloning is an unusual and horrific experiment that threatens human ethics, global future, and human individuality. Most Americans believe that there is a God or some supernatural force at work in the world. It is many of those very Americans that feel that cloning affects, or strongly conflicts, with their religious values. "A Time Magazine poll (March 10, 1997) reported that seventy four percent of those asked, believe it is against God's will to clone human beings." Christians among many other religions believe in having a soul. For those people cloning raises many questions. When a person is cloned, is that person's soul also cloned? If not, will the clone even have a soul? Some people believe that cloning humans will bw assuming the juristiction of God or another supernatural power in the world.
