Have you ever thought about suicide? In the United States, more than 30,000 people die each year by suicide. And every hour and forty-five minutes another young person commits suicide. Suicide is the eighth leading cause of death for all persons regardless of age, sex or race; the third leading cause of death for young people aged 15 to 24; and the fourth leading cause of death for persons between the ages of 10 and 14 in the United States. ... There are many reasons and causes to suicide. People usually attempt suicide to block unbearable emotional pains, which are caused by a wide variety of problems. ... A person attempting suicide is often so distressed that they are unable to see that they have other options. ... White men with ages 65 and older are the most likely to commit suicide, accounting for 20 percent of suicide rate. And the suicide rate has doubled since 1980 among children ages 10 to 14. And teen suicide rates have tripled since 1970. ... It may sometimes make the family feel like they are failure because someone they cared so much about has chosen to suicide. The family may also be afraid of forming any new relationships because of the intense pain they have experienced through the relationship with the person who has completed suicide. ... Before they suicide, they will often give many warning signs. ... Those are some warning signs for the people who is attempting to suicide. ...
I have interviewed different types of people for their views about suicide. And each one of them has their very unique ways of looking at suicide.
