CORPSE OF PIGS International Conflict A very embarrassing moment for the government of United States and for the public. On 17th of April, 1961, the Cuban exiles invaded the Bay Of Pigs armed with US weapons. On the 19th of April, 1961 the fighting between the Cuban exiles and the Cuban army ended and the Cuban exiles from USA had been forced to surrender. The army of the Cuban exiles was about 2000 people who were exiled in the 1959 revolution. The boats for the invasion were sent towards Cuba on the 15th when the air strikes began on Cuban air forces. However, on 16th of April President Kennedy gave a command to halt the strikes without any particular reason and left the Cuban exiles stranded on the beach.
