Lady Macbeth and Macbeth are the characters who use “masks” the most. It started early in the play, as soon as Lady Macbeth found out about the witches predictions, that Lady Macbeth first introduced this technique. ... Lady Macbeth says to her husband, “O, never Shall sun that morrow see! ... In Act III, when they are having a dinner for all the noblemen, Macbeth hides the fact that he knows that Banquo is dead by making a toast to him. ... ” Macbeth is covering up the truth that Banquo is dead, and not only does he already know this, he is the one that had him killed.
