The slender aged professor stood up and approached the lectern, gripping it tightly, then slowly looking from left to right, lowered his head for several seconds, and finally raising his head he reveals a sly smile on his countenance, he looks up at the ceiling and closes his eyes. After several seconds, opening his eyes he stares straight down the center of the lecture hall, and smiles impishly. This professor is always interesting to watch and listen. A few of his colleagues consider him somewhat eccentric, although they never say so in public. The noisy audience suddenly becomes quiet when the professor raises his right arm and waves it from left to right as though he was erasing a chalkboard. After ten seconds, when complete silence ensued, he begins. "Youth always has and always will emulate until it stumbles into confidence, which lies somewhere on the road between seventeen and ninety-nine. To obtain confidence without stumbling into it is to convert the spontaneity of individualism into the glow of individuality (singularity of personality). But this requires the transformation of cloudy opinion into clear wisdom, a most difficult task to accomplish because it demands the transmigration of pride into humility. However, if one succeeds, someone on the road between seventeen and ninety-nine will arrive sooner at the apex threshold of human ascension. That is, the conversion of egoism into altruism, of which the epitome of the former is Narcissism and the epitome of the latter is Love.
