Abuses of Human Rights: Gopamma didn’t have access to good medical services, or special care until a long time after she was diagnosed with Polio at 2 years old. She wasn’t vaccinated, like every child should be, and because of this couldn’t go to school. Attempts to solve the problems: When a voluntary medical service came to Gopamma’s village, they performed corrective surgery, and she had another operation, enabling her to be able to walk (with the help of crutches). Gopammi now attends school, with her brother carrying her there on his back. Plot: Elisabeth is in year 12 and is doing great at school, hoping to pass and do a music degree at university.
