Cultural Issues in the Workplace Cultural issues have become an increasingly important concern to almost every organization in United States. People of different races, genders, cultures, abilities, ages, and lifestyles are brought together in the workplace. Learning more about our backgrounds gives us a broader perspective of others. A cultural issue has so many dimensions: gender, religion, and ethnicity are just a few. Moreover, it manifests itself in a great variety of norms, cultural values, individual goals, department and organizational mandates. Optimizing these dimensions and variety of diversities provide opportunities for me and for people like myself to utilize their cultural background in any workplace.
