Citizen Kane
The film, “Citizen Kane”, is a classic masterpiece that displayed new and experimental innovations in sound, lighting, editing, photography and story-telling. ... It begins showing Charles Foster Kane on his deathbed as he utters the word “Rosebud” right before he passes away. Several newspaper headlines are shown announcing that Kane has died at his mansion, Xanadu. There is a narration that runs over the scenes showing the newspaper headlines that talks about Kane’s life and career. Then at a meeting held by reporters, one reporter is given the task of finding out what Kane meant when he said “Rosebud”, so he begins to research by talking to as many of Kane’s aquaintances as possible.
