The Path to Success Success is an extremely multifaceted term, a word that can be used to describe a feeling of self worth. Success is personal and differs from person to person. There are many different measures of accomplishment. Success can be something as small as making the winning catch in baseball or something on a larger scale, like curing a disease. In life, every person needs to set goals, and meeting these goals, whatever they may be is vital to a person’s sense of achievement. According to the Oxford American Dictionary, Success is a favorable outcome, doing what was desired or attempted. The definition also mentions the attainment of wealth, fame or position, which in my point of view can be controversial. There are three types of success that seem most important to a wide spectrum of people. The three most common measures of success are financial, success with relationships and professional accomplishments. The first measure of success directly coincides with wealth. While it is a common belief that money can’t buy happiness, it undoubtedly can help when combined with other things. Ones financial success can bring happiness, but money, if allowed to do so can be extremely powerful and manipulative.
