This study examines the current literature about evaluation of ectopic pregnancy .This design will help to the diagnosis and treatment of ectopic pregnancy in our setup . ... studies have reported that ,75% to 80%of ectopic pregnancy can be recognized by ultrasound and has recommended that trasvaginal scan should be the imaging technique of choice . ... rapid monoclonal radioimmunoassay of b-hcg are now available and serial measurement of b-hcg has shown to be an effective tool in the diagnosis and management of selective and difficult cases of ectopic pregnancy .laparoscopic surgery has become the gold standard in the diagnosis and management of ectopic pregnancy . ... Lack of diagnostic aid and expertise available at that time ,most of the diagnosis depended upon clinical suspicious ,urinary b-human choronic gonadotropin (b-HCG) and abdominal ultrasound there fore the main stay of the treatment was salpingectomy

Problems in early pregnancy are the most common reasons for emergency admission to a gynaecology ward . ... Ectopic pregnancy remains an important cause of maternal morbidity and mortality and its incidence is also increasing .thus it is a timely conducted study ,which looks in to the risk factors and analyses the management of ectopic pregnancy in our circumstances in order to reduce the death associated with ectopic pregnancy .
