After I finished high school, college seemed to be within my reach. When I realized that I wasn’t going to college, I knew I had to get a job. I found that working for a year how to mature, save money, and experience the real world. First I matured so much in one year on the job. I faced many different situations early on that helped me mature mentally. I was a seventeen year-old kid who just finished high school. I was working with adults who had families to provide for. I experienced the pressure of working hard everyday. I worked in a warehouse shipping and receiving oriental rugs. Also when customer’s would purchase a rug from our store, I would load the rug in the customer’s car. Many customers I dealt with were courteous and I did not have any problems with.
