	Kensington Stone
	In 1898, just outside of Kensington, Minnesota, the son of farmer Olaf Ohman found an extremely complicated artifact in the roots of a tree. The artifact was a large stone tablet that weighed over two hundred pounds. Written on the stone were medieval Scandinavian runes, which tell the story of a Norse journey into America in the 14th century. Right away the rune stone was labeled a hoax, but evidence proves otherwise. First, a long line of scholars examined the stone and said that many of the words on the inscription were impossible for the 14th century.
