Genetic engineering has been debated for many years although man has been using this technique for thousands of years hen he used selective breeding when you choose which animals to mate to bet a stronger and healthier outcome. Most people don’t realise the effect it has on the people or the animals but this is shown very clear with the hairless sphinx.. It was a part of an American experiment, which went wrong, and now the cat looks hairless and has long pointy ears. Mating this breed can only be done under close supervision. Anyhow scientists have moved since then and taking this step one step further by and this is when genetic engineering takes place. When the genes of an animals are substituted for genes of another animal with desirable features.
