What is freedom? Freedom is the right to choose, the right to decide what is important to you. Therefore, I support the idea that the freedom to make our own choices is one of the crucial mainstays in the modern society because our freedom to determine the course of our own lives is our most precious asset and only by having all options open to us can we have our real freedom. Since perhaps the creation of our civilization, the world has witnessed the imposing of a horrible practice – one person enforcing his will on the others, hence brutally suppressing their wishes and desires. Although not that popular today as in the past, this practice continues to overwhelm many “victims”. And it looks as if we have forgotten the very meaning of liberty – the right to enjoy our full human rights, the freedom to choose and decide what is best for us. That is why, I firmly believe that every person must have both physical and spiritual freedom. We should not let a single person or institution decide for us like we were children.
