Jasmine Yip Sept 30, 03 Blk D Short Story Journal Inside Stories for Senior Students “The Destructors” by Graham Greene Three Quotations- 1. “T. added without the smallest flicker of glee” -I felt that this quote is significant because it showed that Trevor is a very heartless person. While the other boys all played pranks for fun, he was truly evil. This line showed that he clearly wanted to make others suffer. So he made up his master plan to break a giving and brittle old man’s lifetime possessions. 2. “All this hate and love… it’s soft, it’s hooey” -This line given by Trevor is very meaningful, because it shows a deeper side of him. It also hints some underlining details of his life, which might have accumulated to his destructive nature.
