1. Identify the existence of the problem Are unions really a good thing? The problem with some of the unfair wages and work conditions is that a lot of the companies may be making unions look like monsters. Some jobs I have applied for, during orientation one of the companies tried to make joining a union out to be an evil and unjust. They tried to scare their employees in to not talking to anyone offering union support. They implied that all the promises unions make usually make it harder for the employees. We were told by the employer that it would mess wages and benifit that they were able to offer. They without words told us that if we wanted them to keep providing good benifits stay away form unions. 2.
