Jack Robinson is 6 years old, the youngest of 3 boys. Steve, (his father) is an electrician who owns his own business and works long hours. Jack’s mother Sue is a teacher’s aide at one of the local schools. James and Matt are Jack’s older twin brothers and are 9 years old. For the first 5 years before the twins started school, Sue stayed at home until the boys were ready for school, forming strong bonds. While Jack was living his first 5 years, 3 were spent in day care while his brothers were at school and his parents were at work. The other 2 years he was at home with his mother and brothers. The relationships Steve and Sue have with the twins are considerably stronger than they share with Jack. The twins are entertaining, well adjusted, happy, playful, confident, well liked, sociable 9 year olds.
