nothing for lunch which is more important, a door without a key or a key without a door September 16, 2003 seven hundred twenty-two The following week it is year 1968, and I walk with Ben Hur. I arrived to Tel Aviv the day before with the solemn news of the passing of the peace leader Lt. Moise. Ben Hur, who I have not seen for over a decade now, was walking straight and outfitted in an army green uniform and midnight black boots. He carried a gun to the funeral service that was longer than my arm. Israel finally had enough strength to have an army. Even at this time, Israel needs to be ready for anything. We discussed how Israel was improving towards peace and freedom and how something as dreadful of this bombing which killed a leader could deteriorate the effort of so many men. “The enemy never seems to go away” says Ben Hur. After that comment they continue to walk to the service in silence. After passing many buildings and even more blocks they spot the temple and the myriad of people who are attending.
