‘The Sixth Sense’ is an intriguing thriller that was produced in 1999 by M. ... The film shows us a young boy, called Cole, who claims he can see dead people. ... This makes the audience actually realise Crowe has actually been dead throughout the film. The director uses many techniques to hide the fact that Crowe is dead but he also gives a numerous amount of clues to hint to us the audience that Crowe is in fact dead. Different camera angles, images and various settings are just a few of the techniques used to trick the audience. ... The end of the film is the turning point where not only does Malcolm realise he is dead but the audience do as well. There is a flashback that shows the audience all the main clues throughout the film and this shows the audience how they were manipulated throughout the film. ... For instance every time a ghost got angry or emotional the temperature in the room would drop creating a misty breathe coming from the live persons mouth, so this had to be shown through the film every time the ghosts emotions changed.
