Schindler's List Summary

Schindler’s List begins with the Jewish families being moved into the city of Krakow. Then, we are introduced to Oskar Schindler. He goes to a Nazi party. Schindler tries to kiss up to the Germans by buying them drinks. Schindler then finds Itzhak Stern, a Jewish accountant. Schindler tells Stern about his idea to take a factory that used to be owned by a Jewish person and hire cheap Jewish workers. Then Schindler went looking for people that sold things on the black market. Schindler made a deal with Poldak Pfefferberg to buy some goods. Next, the Jews had to enter the ghetto. Schindler then gets his factory. He hires a bunch of Jewish workers because they are very cheap labor. Then, Schindler goes to his birthday party. There are many Nazis at the party. Two Jews come to say happy birthday on behalf of the workers. Schindler thanks and kisses the girls. After that, Schindler gets his contacts to make pots and enamelware for the military. This means that Schindler is making a ridiculous amount of money. Stern then disappears. Schindler goes looking for him and finds that he is on a train going to a concentration camp. The train is stopped and Stern is let off.
