Even though a student may feel offended for having overheard a hateful speech at school, they should take the initiative and continue to avoid the situation. ... Minorities should take advantage of freedom of speech because they are the ones who should be rallying for their own grievances. ... Now, if I were have been one of the members who attended Afro-American Cultural Center I would take action and the advantage of having freedom of speech given to me. ... Many students whether they have different backgrounds, different religions, or if they are homosexual, they should not take their right of Freedom of Speech for granted at any moment in their life time. ... It is impossible to ban all hate speech and prohibit them from being heard.
