Classist Nature of Hollywood
The notion of class in American Hollywood cinema has not been accurately depicted. ... Hollywood does not fully understand low-income America. For this ignorance, Hollywood is said to be classist. For many years Hollywood was criticized for being racist, because they portrayed minorities the wrongly in films. ... The reason for this notion is the theory that Hollywood is a classist and this theory will be proven as well as the reasoning for their ignorance.
Classist is a term used to describe those who are prejudice against classes. ... An example of classist in Hollywood would be the film Titanic. ... Hollywood’s concept of low-income is clearly wrong. Nowadays the typical Hollywood movie does not have many poor people in their films at all. ...
