"Looking at industry, we find a wide range of technology management issues," said Linda Tegarden, an assistant professor of management who specializes in strategic management. "How do you use technology in your products? How do you organize your product development function? How do you build customer acceptance for a radical development? "The biggest challenge is staying in touch with the needs of the market and not getting carried away with technology for its own sake," she said.
