History of substance abuse
Substance Abuse is defined as the excessive use of addictive substances, especially narcotic drugs and alcohol. (Encarta Reference Library 2003) Alcohol and other drugs is widespread within our society and its negative consequences are not limited to those individuals who go on to develop dependency problems, that is to say those who might be described as "addicts" or "alcoholics", or even solely to the individual who uses the substance. ...
