Online Marketing, as a new Direct Marketing concept
Being present on the Internet is not as easy as it seems to be: It requires from the company to engage in a set of strategic processes to be able to position itself among already established companies.
Each company is asked to clearly define its expectations from being on the net: Shall it simply present its activities or go beyond that; make the net a mean to market its products and strengthen its brand image.
Through this paper, we’ll give an overview of Online Marketing, its major appliances and constraints and will present how the Moroccan business community perceives the WWW.
Here are some facts related to the net;
- The number of internet users is increasing at an increasing rate
- Cyber customers are doubling each year
- A wide variety of goods and services is being supplied
- Internet users are better informed on the products supplied on the net

The fact is simply that traditional marketing is not applicable 100% in this case; it will be very hard to adapt all anterior marketing principle to the new economy. Traditional marketing is forced to leave the floor to what we currently call Net Marketing or Cyber Marketing. This later gives a supplementary dimension to Traditional Marketing.
