MCCA was established in 1971 in response to regional needs for high quality, professional services for alchol and substance abuse for dependent individuals and their families. MCCA primarily serves persons residing in State Demographic Areas 1 and 5 in Connecticut, encompassing the entire western portion of the state. The region is economically and sociodemographically diverse, and includes urban, suburban, and rural areas. MCCA stands for help and hope in overcoming addictions. Their mission is to serve their target communities by providing state of the art programs to prevent or delay the onset of substance abuse,and gambling problems and effectively treat people and families with chemical dependencies, including those with co-existing mental health disorders.
