1. Brief Summary a. I believe that because of the different environments that black and white children may have grown up in is probably the reason for this behavior. That the stereotypical response for this is that black children are probably more use to seeing violence therefore knows what to expect when a certain action is done towards them. Because I am black and have experience living in both predominately black neighborhoods and predominately white neighbor hoods I know what I felt as child towards aggressive acts. Also, as a child I felt threat only when physical contact has been made. Never when there was not any physical contact. b. I agree with the main themes of the article because as I have said earlier I have had the privilege of living in both worlds. Because of where I grew up (Gary, Indiana) if someone bumped into me living were I lived I would have to say it may have been intentional. When I lived in Fort Wayne I could consider if someone bumped into me as maybe a pure accident. But I judge purely on environments not race. My judgement is on the basis that Gary is a rough area and Fort Wayne is not. 2. Point 1 The first point I would like to make is “…race generally had relatively little impact on the personality ratings of either actors or targets.
