Alfred Hitchcock’s movie Vertigo is a hypnotizing spiral of events. In a way, this movie really has cast a spell on me. ... The colors green, red and purple play a huge importance in the movie as well as spirals and circles and zigzagging which makes all viewers dizzy. ... This movie is very well put together by its mise-en-scene, and use of all these other symbols etc. ... When I first watched this movie, I could not help but notice that there must be some kind of importance to colors. ... There is a part in the movie where Scottie is following her green car, and another green car appears, confusing Scottie. ... It’s wonderful the way Hitchcock uses a lot of upward angles in his movie. ... Another spiral in the movie is that it repeats itself 3 times. ... There were many shots of a car traveling downwards through spirals and curves, which is what the movie is all about. ... There was a rising and falling of rhythms, repeating melodies and songs played in minor keys, which accented the mystery of the movie.
