War brings out the good in some people and the bad in others. It is an expensive endeavor that we bring ourselves into. It is expensive in both human lives and money. For the government to pay for something of this nature, it must get the people of the country to help pay for the costs. They do this by selling war bonds. The war bonds had to be advertised to the public to let them now they could help get the soldiers back home. The way they did this was by posters. These posters were carefully designed and thought out. The poster that liked the most was called “Keep These Hands Off”. The designer of this poster put a lot of thought into the design of it and it shows. The goal of all posters, as is this one’s, is to grab attention. This poster would have grabbed the attention of its intended audience quite well. He also did a good job of leaving it open for imagination. He left it to you to look at it in your own perspective, whether you look at it literally or study the poster in more depth. The woman in the poster is someone that the audience could relate to. The fact that it is a woman in trouble signals an emotional response from the audience.
