The Reunion by Budge Wilson Eva’s thoughts and feelings change dramatically in Budge Wilson’s The Reunion; as Eva arrives to find that her graduating class has grown old like her, she starts has no good times left, but this changes with the recollection of an old crush. Eva is saddened at the fact that she didn’t follow or go after her dreams because of her lack of self-confidence and low self esteem. She thinks that all good times have passed. These feelings change when Eva proves herself wrong and leaves the reunion with an old crush, Joe. Upon arriving at the reception hall, feeling gloomy about the rest of her life, Eva sees how the graduates of 25’ appear and feels extremely old, “ She touches her face and runs her hand down over her hips affirming she is still among the living.” Eva even feels that she cannot cling to the memories that her and her classmates have shared.
