Tanya Leis lives like any normal 19-year-old college student would. She lives on campus, attends classes everyday, and has a boyfriend she rarely sees that attends another university. She dislikes republicans, reads books such as "Chololat," "Catcher in the Rye," "John Grishams the Street Lawyer," and has 2 brothers and 5 sisters through remarriages. However, there are many things about her that most would never know if they didn't have a deep conversation with her. They wouldn't know about her exciting trips or months she has spent with underprivileged kids or even about all the friends she has over the nation. There is also a little secret about how her life was turned into such an exciting and provocative lifestyle. How amazing is it that Tanya's life was turned completely around by one change that she made in 8th grade? Tanya was originally born in Miami and lived there until she was in the 3rd grade. Her parents then got divorced and after moving around, she finally ended up in New Port Richey, Fl (about an hour north of Tampa). She moved to New Port Richey in the 7th grade and didn't know anybody. She had to find a new set of friends, so she eventually started hanging out with these two guys. Now, they weren't the worst kids, but they were by no means the best. After a year of hanging out with them, they were real close and did everything together, but her parents never really trusted her when she was hanging out with them. She also never left town, because she always wanted to be around her friends. At this point, her grades weren't that good either and she would often get C's and wouldn't even care.
