Innocent, oh so innocent, she did nothing but love, love us all, love her children, love her grandchildren love her husband- her husband who slowly poisoned her with every inhale(IRONY) and exhale of cigarette smoke(taste), slowly exhaling her death, esophagus, corroded, eroded. She never smoked a day in her life, yet in a way she smoked(onomatopoetic) like a chimney (simile). Murderer. He killed her. He took her from me. His lungs blackened as hers did(visual), dark as death (similie), slowly, slowly eating away at her life.Poem 2. Hold on. I hold on. I can’t let go(SYMBOL).
