How to change the door locks and fix high-beams on a 25 year old Holden Door Locks 1. Unscrew armrest on inside of door and rip off masonite door card. Never mind if you break it, there's always plenty lying around at the local wreckers who are more than willing to help a young girl like yourself find whatever you need for your historic australian car(shudder). 2. With a pair of defective multi-grips, grab the lock barrel thru the inside of the door and attempt to rip it out thru the small hole cut out of the panel. Rust proofing grease will no doubt make this a hard job, as by this stage in time it has actually turned into some sort of ungodly glue. 3. In the process of pulling lock barrel out, accidentally snap the door handle linkage. But dont worry about this, its all fixable...hopefully. 4. Once you have the barrel out, you need to extract the triple pointed clip thingy from the actual locking part, then swap it over to the new lock.
