I would have to say the thing that I have the biggest interest in would have to be, my love for the game of the game of basketball. Dr. James Naismith, born in 1861 in Ramsay Ontario, Canada, is known today as the inventor of basketball. He invented basketball while working for a school in Massachusetts, in 1891 while trying to develop a game that the students could play indoors during the winter months. He developed his game to work with playerfs skills not so much the strength of the individual players. The first game was played with a soccer ball and two peach baskets as goals. Since its invention in 1891 the game has come a long way. Basketball is now a fast-paced game played on a rectangular court, generally indoors, by two five-player teams. The primary objective of the game is to score more points than the opposition by putting a round ball through a circular band, called a rim.
