To deny the existence of demons is not skepticism: it is only ignorance. Demons are real, they are not just some figment of a man’s imagination, they are roaming this earth with bad intentions. “The immoral activity of demons may include anything that opposes the will of God” (Ryrie 161). “The bad goals of demons includes both evil and ‘good’ immorality (Ryrie 162). ...
Grudem says that demons are “fallen angels and are constantly wreaking havoc on the world” (415). Ryrie, another theologian, counters that “Demons are the spirits of wicked deceased people” (158). Ryrie also says “Nowhere in the Bible does it say that demons are fallen angels. ... Many people say that demons are fallen angels while others are not quite sure what to think they are. Demons have individual personalities and are strong willed creatures that have the power to make-up their mind. Demons show great intelligence as would be expected from such a high order of beings. Demons know the plan of salvation (that is how to become a Christian) but cannot accept it. (Ryrie 159-161)
Demons can show emotions, but they only show them when they are in trouble (Ryrie 161). Demons know when they are in trouble, mainly because they are “controlled by God and try to eliminate every thought that he puts into our minds” (Grudem 415). “The tactics of Satan and [demons] are to use lies (John 8:44), deception (Rev 12:9), murder (Ps 106:37), and every other kind of destructive activity to attempt to cause people to turn away from God and destroy themselves” (Grudem 415). “Demons are the one’s who do Satan’s dirty work, but Satan himself takes all the credit” (Ryrie 164).
