Personally, I feel that the Do-Not-Call list would not work and should be abandoned. Going ahead with the list and blocking telemarketers will have an adverse economic impact and any regulation to stop reputable telemarketing practices must be balanced with the significant benefits to the economy and the consumer that the telemarketing industry delivers. Outbound telemarketing alone generates almost four percent of all United States consumer sales every year.
