Newton's Laws

Theory Isaac Newton is well known for his studies and concepts of motion, gravity, and studies of the scientific method. Isaac Newton is the author of the book Principia, which was published in the year of 1687. All of Isaac Newton’s work has contributed to the basis and foundation of motion, velocity, force, and physics all together. Isaac Newton’s most famous works were the three laws of motion. Newton’s first law of motion is also considered the concept of inertia. Inertia is the tendency of an object/body to remain at rest or continue in motion unless disturbed by a net or unbalanced force. Isaac Newton’s first law states that every object remains at rest or will move with a constant velocity unless interaction by another force occurs. According to Newton’s studies, only an unbalanced force (or a net force) interacting with an object will cause a change in an object’s motion.
