Oct. 1, 2000 Delta Air Lines puts its first 767-400ER into revenue service on a flight from Atlanta to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Sept. 15, 2000 Continental Airlines puts its first 767-400ER, which was delivered Aug. 31, into revenue service. The flight is from Newark, N.J. to Orlando, Fla. Sept. 13, 2000 Boeing announces that it is committed to production of a new longer-range version of the 767-400ER.
