... Not many people look at this argument when they discuss the death penalty. In my opinion the death penalty is very decisive issue and that it should be done away with. The death penalty has a long history in the United States where the punishment is not just for murder but also rape. Today 38 states in the United States use the death penalty leaving 12 states that do not have the death penalty.
Although most cases are very well thought out, there are however, instances where a few innocent people have been put to death. ... Would you rather have an innocent person put to death while the guilty person is loose?
Putting someone to death because they killed someone else does not make the situation any easier. ... By killing one through the death penalty, it only imposes unlawful killings. ... I feel that it is not for a person to decide, yes put this person to death.
