Malcolm Little, later on known as Malcolm X, was born on May 19, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska. His father, Earl Little, was a preacher who followed the teaching of Marcus Garvey, and Malcolm remembers attending these meetings. Malcolm’s childhood was terrorized by the Klu Klux Klan. ... People alluded that it was suicide, and so Malcolm’s mother could not collect the life insurance that would have helped her support her family. ... He studied history seriously in prison and once Malcolm began truly seeing the current situation of the black people in America he became very involved in speaking out against whites and racism itself, which was terrorizing the U. ... Malcolm believed in a revolution and he was prepared to live it. One of the most striking things about Malcolm X was that he wasn’t afraid to speak out against the wrong doings of the government and even individuals that were known for their racist ways. ...
