Loyalty to the LORD in Good and Bad Times

... In the book of Job, Job was made to suffer because evil wanted to make God put him to the test and see if even without all his prized possessions he will still be faithful to the LORD. The book of Job 1: 13-22 was written in early date by an unknown writer to show that no matter how much suffering the Lord makes us face, we should always remain faithful and blameless just as Job remained faithful and continued to worship the LORD with out once questioning his actions. ... This is clear once analyzing the bible more and seeing that Job used the covenant name of Yahweh (the LORD), and this is only an indication of the work done in the earlier years, in the range from the tenth to the third century B. ... Job has always been the perfect blameless servant of the LORD, therefore was put to the test by evil with permission of the LORD to test if he will stay blameless even after all the suffering. ... He said, “Naked I came form my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return there; the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD” (Job 1:20-21). ... ” Another important aspect that we should look at carefully is the fact that “the narrator has him [Job] pronounce, three times, the name of Yahweh, which otherwise he avoids” (Brown 470). ... The message is clear, if you are a believer of the LORD, you should never curse him in good or in bad times. Never question the LORD on the decisions he makes.
