	Personal College Essay
	I couldn’t move, couldn’t breath, I just stared down at my desk, frozen in my fear. My worst nightmare had come true; I had been picked at random to answer a question in front of the class. I swallowed hard, looking up helplessly at my teacher, wanting to speak but the words just not coming out. I sat there for a long moment, eyes wide, mouth gaping. It wasn’t that I didn’t know the answer - I did - I was just afraid. What if I said the wrong thing? What if they thought I was stupid? The possibilities terrified me. After a few seconds, (what seemed like an eternity) my teacher became tired of waiting for me to answer and moved onto the next student, leaving me to breath a deep sigh of nervous relief.
