Public relations disaster Pierre Rougier, the New York rep for high-fashion labels like Balenciaga, Viktor & Rolf and Proenza Schouler, has hit a new low. Rougier—the controlling flak who's about as welcome in our office as a case of crabs—had all his clients banned from Details this week after a screaming match with the magazine's editor, Dan Peres. "Dan hit the roof," says our source. "You should have heard him yelling. Even the people in [fellow Fairchild rag] Supermarket News were sticking their heads up going, 'What's going on?'" Rougier apparently threw a French fit when Dutch design duo Viktor & Rolf got only one page for their debut men's collection this issue (what—no pinup?). He set Peres off by sending a pointed email claiming no one had the guts to return his phone calls. "Dan called him an arrogant ass and said, 'I've lived in France but I've never met a bigger prick,'" says the snitch. "He said, 'We will never work with you again,' and then called Viktor and Rolf to tell them what kind of publicist they had." Rougier, for his part, says he "doesn't remember" his conversation with Peres. We doubt his enemies have such short memories. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Someone is settling old scores with Kate Moss. An anonymous fashion insider spent last week on the phone, calling around media outlets and saying the tiny terror is back on the Charlie. (Memo to Kate's lawyers: We Don't Believe A Word Of It.) "There's this big story in W about how she's a mother, but she's got all the weight off and she's looking great.
