“United States Council for International Business” I was not sure of how to get to a site for this assignment so I went to AOL and typed International Business. There were a lot of sites to choose from but I opted to look at the USCIB site. I then found that USCIB was an acronym for United States Council for International Business. The USCIB was founded in 1945. This council promotes free trade and helps represent business in the United Nations. Leading American companies realized that to succeed in international business it would be beneficial for them to ban together and create a united front. This council offers them an ear to the policy makers of the United States and abroad. There is over three hundred multi national companies, law firms and business associations a part of this council. Companies include Walt Disney, Pepsico, EDS, TRW, and Nortrhop Grumman. I work for Vinnell Corporation which is owned by Northrop Grumman who just recently took over from TRW.
