I) DENTAMED, INC. Dentamed, Inc. is a dental office founded in 1990 by Prof. Mehmet Babur Caniklioglu, in Istanbul, Turkey to serve better to its customers. Dentamed is committed to developing and customized complete dental treatment plan based upon its customers individual needs. Its mission statement is to give all dental services in one place and to create generations of smile. It provides comfortable dental care from the hands of experience with modern technology. Dental office is designed with latest technology in order to provide the best and quickest service possible, as most of Dentamed’s customers are usually people who have time constraints. All the dental services are provided in Dentamed, people don’t need to go and search for different specialists to solve their dental problem, in one place Dentamed offer them everything that they need regarding dental treatment. Dentamed major dental services are cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics and prosthodontics. 2) PROBLEM RECOGNITION At the beginning of 2000, Dentamed faced some problems in keeping its customers’ records manually in files. Problems recognized were: Ø To keep all the customers’ records manually were money and time consuming. Ø To keep the files need a huge space. Ø Difficult to keep all of these files in order Ø Difficult to find information about customer when it is needed.
