Karen Parker is one of public advocacy attorneys in the United States who practices human rights and humanitarian law, and she also is the chief of United Nations delegate of International Educational Development. ... Gervase Coles, at the Chief Legal Council, Office of Protection and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. In 1994, Karen served as United Nations representative for Disabled Peoples International, especially in the area of disability rights. ... In the past years, she not only has written a lot of reports and articles for publication in American, foreign law and professional journals and presentation to the United Nations and to governments, she also has given lectures on international law at many law schools, such as the law schools at Harvard University, the University of Chicago, the University of California at Berkeley, the University of California at Los Angeles, Hastings College of the Law, Stanford University, etc.
In the speech, Karen Parker pointed out that Japanese’s war rape behaviors have violated the international law during World War II.
