In the 2000 Presidential election, Chen Shui Bian(陳水扁) defeated the KMT(國民黨), which ruled Taiwan for over 50 years, and became the occupant of Taiwan’s Presidential Palace. Within the entangled paradoxes of identity politics, Taiwan’s civil society used the ballot paper to decide the answer of an illusive historical question, and questions regarding substantial daily lives; smoothly and peacefully completed the task of power transition. ...
