In the Twelfth Night the character Sebastian plays a significant role in the story as he is introduced further on in the story as the lost twin brother to Viola. Despite his late entrance in the play, Sebastian’s presence in the story creates such a major impact as his existence builds up a lot of controversy, and conflict in between characters. Seemingly, the story plays out as a never ending love cycle, which ends in tragedy between characters because of miscommunication. Sebastian’s entrance to the town of Illyrian was a stir for all the other characters, given that his resemblance to his twin sister made everyone believe that his personality would be just the same as his sister Viola. As would support the theme of mistaken identity; where Viola, as Cesario is caught in her love triangle, misled, and hopes of love killed. Just as the Feste’s talent in being foolish, while concealing his true intelligence, prevents any image of brightness, which keeps him out of the spotlight for any credibility.
