American Revolution
The American Revolution commenced in 1775 and conditionally ended in 1789 with the ratification of the Constitution of Independent USA. Thirteen colonies of Great Britain at American lands suffered from tight pressure from the side of English enslavers, revealing itself in hard economical and labor conditions, high taxes and duties, slavery and limitations of rights. ... Independence War in Northern America was a part of revolutionary movement and had two main goals: (1) to receive national independence and destroy the obstacles for American economy to develop, to improve the living conditions for the masses, and (2) to solve agrarian problem, including destroying of feudal elements in agriculture, to open the access to the Western Lands and to destroy slavery. So, initially and essentially the Revolution was an economic one. The War of American colonies of England for independence has destroyed the main obstacles for independent development of economy: colonial repressions and domination of English landowning aristocracy. Squireship and eigne estates were abolished; large estates and latifundios were confiscated from establishment loyalists (the Tories), as a result of War and the Revolution all the attempts of English dominators to proceed with feudal administration of the country were ruined. The victory of Northern American nation was an important step on the way to progress and development, it brought to gaining of political and economical independence and enhancing of the territory. ... The American Revolution is supposed to be the first democratic revolution in the history. Farmers, workers and small merchants, laboring people of one sort or another were the main moving power of the American Revolution, the role of who was dominant and important in patriotic rise of the Americans during the War, in creating of local militia army in New England and Western Virginia. ... But in the end, the victory of American Independence only partially realized the aspirations of such laboring masses. ... During the Revolution, the Americans continued to hesitate whether slavery was consistent with a democratic revolution.
